Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Performance Dates

April 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th

*if you have a performance conflict please let us know on your form and we will adjust casting accordingly.

Rehearsal Information

Tuesday & Thursday - 4:15pm to 6:30pm and Saturday - 10am to 3pm at The Ziegfeld Academy

Parent and Participant Meeting:

Mandatory Parent Meeting will be on February 6th at Ziegfeld Arts Academy at 6:15pm.

Program Cost:

Total cost for the program is

$285.

*$95 charged upon the submission of the audition form, which will be sent to you upon enrollment in the class. The remainder will be charged at $95 per month

**$25 registration fee for new families**​

*The first month's tuition is not refundable even if you choose to drop after the cast list is posted.

AUDITION FORMS with Video Submissions are due by January 26th by video due no later than  11:59 PM


Dance Auditions  will be held on January 28th  at 4-6pm at The Ziegfeld Arts Academy


Callbacks will be held throughout  January 30th and 31st from 4-9pm at The Ziegfeld Arts Academy by invitation only and following a detailed TBA callback schedule  when the Callback list is published.


First Rehearsal is February 1st at The Ziegfeld  Arts Academy.
